Shengjin Pagoda

Last night I went to meet my old friend, a young lawyer who works in Nanchang. I suggested to meet the food street of Shengjin Pagoda.

While we walked down the lane, a nice building I took a notice. It is a hot-pot restaurant. Just behind this building, you can look into the Golden Pot of the Shengjin Pagoda.

After a fast meal and some rice wine, we walked directly into the square of the Temple and the Pagoda.

please check the video above.

The 59 meters high pagoda has seven floors. It is made up of bricks and woods. Looking from outside, it has eight angles. Each floor has sharp angle eaves and eight doors. Inside the pagoda, there is a rotary stair going to the top.

The temple was built same time as the Pagoda as there were Shelizi (Buddhism relics left after the cremation of Buddhas or saintly monks) found on the site, a temple was utilized as a saintly meaning.

A round square circles around the pagoda, where you may find a drama stage, a garden house with big bell and drum. I did some video recordings.

Walking back. The sculpture poles are interesting. You can always find sculptures also in Jingde Town where over the bridge you can find a few small sculptures to decorate the space. This old part of Nanchang city also left some old life marks on the wall…
